Violin - Aubert Lutherie Christophe Delange

This violin was made by the Aubert Lutherie in Mirecourt, France; it comes with a certificate and photos from the maker. The body measures 358mm along the back, 169mm across the upper bouts and 210mm across the lower bouts. The back is made with two pieces of maple which has been moderately flamed with a broad curl. The ribs and scroll have been made to match. The top is of a finely grained spruce. The violin has been finished with an amber-brown varnish and fitted with ebony pegs and a Wittner tailpiece. This violin has a clear and bright tone. The sound is well rounded and has a beautifully rich quality, especially in the lower register. It has good projection and clarity on each note.
