Developed in collaboration with leading string players, the range features four distinct formulas(SOLO, 'A Piacere, Signature and Sanctus), each designed to offer a unique balance of grip, articulation, and tonal characteristics to suit different playing styles and preferences. Below are the general qualities of each formula:

Solo is a long-time popular formula with strong grip that gives a very stable bowing sensation. The formula focuses on providing maximum projection as well as clear articulation. It is also forgiving under high bow pressure on the strings without the sound cracking.

A Piacere is similar to SOLO in terms of providing clear articulation, but it has slightly less projection power, aiming for more blending aspects in sound. The tone is relatively warmer and rounder than the SOLO, and it goes particularly well with soft bows.

Signature Formula is the new flagship formula of CECILIA Rosin Collection which provides a unique bowing sensation when in contact with the string and a clearly defined reaction. This rosin is the most significant new development for the most demanding musicians that works well with a small amount on a wide range of repertoire. It helps the bow to create rich, full and expressive tones without excessive bite.

Sanctus (only available in full cake) is developed to provide more possibilities in the sound of stringed instruments. It takes a highly delicate process to combine two rosin formulas into a single cake of rosin. The appearance of the rosin is truly unique and beautiful. The outer ring formula gives smooth bowing experience with a focused sound on the strings, and the softer center formula kicks in when the player demands more power and gutsiness from their instrument.
