Violin - Klaus Clement V8 Strad

Hand made in Germany in the top-notch workshop of Klaus Ludwig Clement. This violin is modeled after the distinguished Stradivarius shaped instruments, with a beautiful antique varnish.

This instrument sits in the middle range of the Klaus Clement workshop, but is actually made by the hands of the master. For that reason, it is a very impressive instrument and punches well above its weight. It is made of traditional timbers and includes a two-piece maple back with spruce belly. Klaus Clement is a well-known master in the art of varnishing, as his life pursuit. The formula for his varnish is constantly changing and improving, as he investigates the effect of the varnish on the sound of the instrument. It is at this level, at the V6 model, that he has payed very special attention to the formula of the varnish, where it has been very tastefully antiqued. Because of the varnish, modelling and quality materials that have been used, the sound is very impressive.

This instrument would be suitable for advanced players, who are either doing a high level exam such as AMEB A.Mus.A or studying at a tertiary level.

Strings: Generally fitted with Thomastik 'Vision Solo' strings. Strings may differ depending on needs.
