This violin has a two piece well flamed back made from aged Bosnian maple. The top is made from aged Austrian mountain spruce. The S1 is fitted with ebony pegs, fingerboard, chinrest and a wittner tailpiece with in-built fine tuners. This violin has some light shading, a glossy finish & a good cover of orange to brown varnish.

Overall this instrument has a bright & brilliant sound with good projection. This instruments tone is even, clear & focused across both the high & low registers creating a beautiful balance. The S1 violin has been fitted with Larsen Tzigane strings to add a level of richness & warmth to the overall brilliance of this violins sound. This violin will be most suitable for the intermediate to early advanced player (approximately AMEB Grade 5-6).
