The violin is crafted from aged spruce and maple tone woods and finished with a matte medium-brown varnish. It is fitted with ebony pegs and a tailpiece with built-in fine tuners, making tuning easy and reliable and allowing players to spend more time learning and playing. The violin is strung with Pirastro Tonica Violin Strings, which offer a lively, well-rounded sound that is evenly balanced across all four strings.

The Johann Stuaffer #100S is most suitable for students up to a fourth grade AMEB standard.
