This instrument comes with a certificate, declaration of materials and photos from the maker. \u003c\/p\u003e \n\n\u003cp\u003eThis cello is labelled ‘Klaus Ludwig Clement fecit Leipzig, anno 2019, Opus 1, Made in Germany,’ a second label reads ‘Matteo Goffriller fecit venetisis anno 1727.’ It is stamped ‘Klaus Ludwig Clement’ over the first label and is based on a Goffriller model. The body measures 761mm along the back, 359mm across the upper bouts and 454mm across the lower bouts. The back is made from two pieces of well flamed maple. The top is made from spruce with a straight grain. The cello has been antiqued with a good cover of golden brown to orange coloured varnish.
