Musical instruments are delicate in nature and sensitive to changes in humidity. When it’s too dry, tuning becomes harder, can cause joins and seams to open, and sometimes even cause timber to crack. When it’s too humid, excess moisture can lead to swelling, corrosion and sometimes even mould. It’s ideal to keep the humidity as stable and consistent as possible.
The Lenthem Humidity cabinets allow musicians to keep their instruments at optimal humidity levels. Each cabinet has a Dual Module set-up, allowing for both humidification and dehumidification. A Swiss made SENSIRION humidity sensor is used, providing reliable and long-lasting performance. Semiconductor condensation manages the dehumidification process, while micro-flow evaporation offers a mist-free and uniform humidification system. This set up allows the humidity range to be adjusted between 40-60% relative humidity.
The cabinet is constructed from electrolytic steel, which is resistant to corrosion and rust, for long lasting use. Inside the cabinet, a synthetic fibre lines the base, top panel and hangers, which helps protect your instruments finish and avoids scratches. Triple reinforced soft padding helps protect instruments from bumps and impacts. Dual light strips offer three colour tones to perfectly match your ambience - warm yellow (2700K), warm white (4300K) and cool white (6500K). This is all controlled from an easy to use touch panel, or from an infrared remote control. This remote control comes with multi-unit management, which allows control of multiple cabinets from a single remote.
