The Hagen 130 has a two piece, moderately flamed maple back & the top is made from spruce. This instrument is based on a Stradivari violin model. This violin has a good cover of dark to golden brown varnish & has been lightly antiqued. The 130 has ebony fittings and a wittner tailpiece.

Overall this violin has a warm sound & good projection. This instrument has great resonance & a well-balanced sound. This instrument would be suitable for early tertiary study, and the advanced musician. This violin is currently fitted with Larsen ‘Il Cannone’ strings which add a touch of brightness & projection to the overall warmth of this instrument.
